Speak to a decent pro, one who is more interested in you than a particular brand/product.

Left or right handed no matter, played with a man with one arm off single figures once. Had an arm strong as an Ox.

Wilson are a good Brand. I'd pop along to Golfbidder have bought some really good clubs off them in the past, you can pick up a set of last years model clubs for a fraction of the price of new.

Give it a go you can always sell them back to them later when you want to upgrade.

You might try Nickent, they were never big outside the US but are a pretty decent set for the weekend golfer.

In our works golf society I lasted 2 outings .... 2nd one was called infront of the society elders and given a bollocking as I never took my baseball cap off in the clubhouse... app' me and my mate had loads of complaints... told them to stick their society up their arse and just walked out...

soldo, spot on about golf club members. been play in over thirty years but only lasted a year at a club because of spotty, ignorant cunts. also, cheaters, false handicaps and the slowest of players too. an absolute nightmare

Re: Best set of golf clubs for a beginner?
First time I tee'd off was at Chingford golf club, many years ago. Shanked the fucker into the trees on the right, at which point a filthy BLACK LAB pitched up and ran off with my ball. Sold0, you fucking cunt ;-)

Ha ha HA... Our family had a house for about 5 years or so that backed onto Thorpe bay golf course... I think our Golden Retriever used to round up a few balls... used to see Cottee, parkes and Gale over there shanking balls... only time me and me step dad used to play the course was on Christmas day when it was not open... proper poncey place... not my idea of fun all these stupid fucking rules... you can go to pebble Beach and lounge around in their clubhouse having a pint with a baseball cap do it in some shit cunt club in Essex and they'll set the hounds on you... stuck up cunts

As much as I love reading about the latest greatest clubs available I still play with my 25 year old irons and mizuno t zoid driver it’s nice to hit big drives but chipping and putting is where you score with golf my go to club though is an old Taylor made 7 wood bubble
As others have said don’t spend a fortune any thing that works for you is great coz golf is mainly played in the head
Happy golfing

Being left handed doesn't necessarily you're a natural left handed player I'm right handed but used to play left handed ! have a lesson with a local pro is my advice.

Played for Corporate reasons Dubai,Abu Dhabi and Qatar Open courses. As once said a good walk ruined by the occassional hitting of a ball.

Re: Best set of golf clubs for a beginner?
At the municipal course in Bletchley there used to be a resident crow on the 8th which would nick the balls from the fairway. It did that to mine one day and I chased it into the rough where I found my ball and several others.

Re: Best set of golf clubs for a beginner?
The reason you had to wear red on Chingford and Woodford is because both courses are part of Epping Forest and general public walking around could identify you as a golfer.
